Just the Facts! (aka Tell me about the free stuff) as if you needed more reasons to join us.
The Gwinnett Amateur Radio Society is pleased to host this event for you, the amateur radio enthusiast as a free event with lots of free extras. If you’re not at TechFest on this cold January day, then you’re missing out on so much!
To keep you warm, of course there’s free coffee all day, and then a free lunch for all attendees! Stop by for hot dogs, chili and all the fixin’s. We’ll be hosting a chili cook-off and you can sample the best recipes along with our judges.
Activities planned include a Fox Hunt, a Soldering Station for newbies and youth, & a Get On The Air station for new Hams and those still working on their license.
NEW FOR 2026! There will be a “Best Radio Voice” contest for anyone interested in participating.
Browse through the aisles and talk with amateurs and professionals, ready to show and teach you about all the technology that is available to us as licensed amateurs, as well as showing off what they have been working on.
Multiple Forums will be presented on topics of interest to Hams in two forum rooms.
While License exam (VE Testing) isn’t free, this is: Any youth under 18 who takes their license exam at TechFest (and passes) will receive a free radio (Limit, first 10).
Don’t forget the FREE door prizes throughout the day.
